Known down under as the 'potato top' this pie has been around since the early days of pie making in New Zealand.  Inspired by the old English Sheppards Pie, the Mountaineer is built with a tasty minced beef centre and topped with lightly seasoned mashed potato instead of pastry.  Suitable for the kids.
